Tickle your tastebuds with flavors from every direction at Morsel Compass. Another food truck success story, MC made its permanent home in Piedmont Place in 2016. The menu features carne asada steak tacos, “Meximus” tacos with housemade vegan black bean hummus, a grilled Brie sandwich, arroz con polo soup with rice, and more.
A community staple that the Washington Post called “a destination restaurant,” Crozet Pizza has been slinging homemade gourmet pizzas since 1977. They’ve created a recipe for success with fresh ingredients, secret sauce, and a close-knit staff. Choose from starters like house hummus and jalapeno poppers, a wide variety of salads, funky pizzas like Buddhist Pie and Uncle Frank, and a long list of calzones, wraps, clubs, and burgers. Crozet Wineries and Breweries

Moving from Houston to Crozet, the King family settled on a 327-acre farm. With some curiosity and research, they planted their first 8 acres of vines, made wine from their first harvest, and quickly sold out. Today, King Family Vineyards offers tours, tastings, and events and sells a wide variety of reds, whites, small batch series, and more.
Pack a picnic lunch and head north to Grace Estate Winery. There, you can order a flight to enjoy at a picnic table overlooking the 450-acre property. Book at Raclette Party or schedule a private event in the stunning Estate mansion. Grace Estate wines have as much character as the stories told on their bottles. Read tales of Count Stephen as you sip a Merlot, enjoy a Captain John Chardonnay, or pour a Tannat and learn of the adventures of Colonel Richard.
Recently named one of Charlottesville’s finest, Pro Re Nata is a brewpub and music hall offering craft beer, cider, wine, and more. The property includes the Brewery Taproom, the Main Taproom with a stage, the Farmacy Garden Events Center with a stage, and a large beer garden with breathtaking views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Starr Hill Brewery is one of the most award-winning breweries on the East Coast. After its start in a music hall in Charlottesville, Starr Hill expanded west to Crozet, becoming the first production craft brewery in Virginia. Choose from nearly two dozen beers on tap or order a flight of any five beers.
Recreational Activities
The natural beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains is a sight to behold in Crozet. Not only does it provide a beautiful scene, it offers countless hiking trails to explore the area.
For something a bit off the beaten path, check out Sugar Hollow Trail to Blue Hole. This 3-mile round trip hike leads to a popular water hole. It’s a little tricky to get there, but hikers find it well worth the trip.
Head to Claudius Crozet Park to fill your craving for nearly any sport. Over nearly 23 acres, the park offers space for basketball, baseball and softball, pickleball, soccer, swimming, tennis, and more. Walk, run, or skate on the .85-mile trail or bring your furry friend to enjoy the 1.5-acre shaded dog park.
Plenty of outdoor activities also can be found at Mint Springs. This 520-acre park boasts trails, volleyball courts, canoe and kayak access, a fishing pier, swimming beaches, picnic areas, playgrounds, and more.
Feeling sporty? For kids, Crozet offers its own recreational sports leagues. Crozet Sports is a nonprofit organization that focuses on the athletic, academic, and health needs of the community. Different classes and camps are available for different age groups. Adults can have their own fun through C’ville Social. Adult leagues are available for basketball, soccer, flag football, dodgeball, cornhole, bowling, and more.
