About Amy Nickol

Amy grew up in Pittsburgh, PA, and has had an enriching and diverse career journey. She met her husband, Craig, while working as a respiratory therapist in the NICU at UVA, where Craig was pursuing his engineering graduate studies. Together, they've lived in several places, including Northern Virginia, Southern Maryland, and Yorktown, Virginia, where they spent 19 years before settling in Crozet.

Craig works for NASA, and they have two children: Connor, a coaching analyst for the Washington Commanders, and Emma, who is in her third year at UVA. Amy's varied professional background includes roles as a respiratory therapist, Executive Director of the Virginia SIDS Alliance, and coordinating fundraising and special events for a race management company and the Virginia Living Museum in Newport News, VA.

Amy and her family have always enjoyed visiting Charlottesville, and as empty nesters, they decided to make it their home. They met Ricky Reed and the Denise Ramey team during their home search in Crozet, and in the spring of 2022, Ricky's dedication and easy-going style helped them find the perfect home amidst a challenging market. Amy has long admired Denise's professionalism, work ethic, and philanthropic efforts, and she is thrilled to join the team as the Sponsorship and Events Coordinator. In this role, she looks forward to supporting the community through various sponsorships and events.

In her spare time, Amy enjoys reading, traveling, decorating, and exploring her passion for art.
